NOTICES

METHODIST DISCIPLESHIP & SPIRITUALITY

Noel & Sam have been leading sessions on Monday afternoons looking at how the strengths of Methodism from the past can shape our spirituality and living today.  Sessions will include some reading, reflection, sharing and praying together.  Each session will begin at 2.30 p.m. and finish at 4 p.m. The final two session are as follows:

10th February – Spreading Scriptural Holiness – Wesley & Social Justice

17th February – The Catholic Spirit – Wesley & Inclusion

CARERS SOUP ‘N’ SUPPORT

The next lunch is on Thursday, 6th February when the talk will be on infection, protection and control.

TECHY COFFEE

The next session will be on Friday, 7th February in the Hilda Shore Room for those needing help with their ipads, laptops, iphones etc.

JEWELLERY VALUATIONS

On Friday, 7th February there will be an opportunity to bring along your gold jewellery, watches, medals etc. and receive a free appraisal and valuation here at church.  No appointment is necessary, and items may be sold to the experts, but there is no commitment.  There will be two experts based in Room 1 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. who will be happy to look at any items you bring in and give a valuation.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON FELLOWSHIP

The next meeting is on 13th February at 2.30 p.m. in the Hilda Shore Room when the speaker will be Ian Jackson whose talk is entitled “More than Blood”.   This is an open meeting and church members are invited to attend.

LEGO CLUB

The next session in the Church Hall is on Wednesday, 19th February from 3.15 p.m. until 5 p.m.  The Club is suitable for children from Reception to Year 6.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

PIANO RECITAL

Dianne & Sheena would like to say a very big thank you to all those who attended their piano recital last Sunday and gave so generously to The Red Cross.  They are delighted to say that £530 was raised.

ADVANCE NOTICE – WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE

This year’s service will be held at Riverway at 2 p.m. on Friday, 7th March.  The service has been prepared by Christian women in the Cook Islands on the theme “I made you wonderful” and is based in Psalm 139:14 – I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  All warmly invited to attend.
