CHURCH FAMILY
It is with sadness that we share the news of the death of Isobel Hall on the 19th April. Isobel’s funeral service takes place at Landican at 10 a.m. on Monday, 11th May. Our thoughts and prayers are with Isobel’s family at this difficult time.

Following the Easter Offering Dedication Service held at St. Luke’s on 26th April I am delighted to say that the total raised across the Circuit amounted to £2441.96 with West Kirby’s total being £207.70. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK – 10th to 16th MAY
There will be a cake and bring and buy stall at the Friday Coffee Morning on 15th May with all proceeds going to Christian Aid and their work fighting poverty and injustice worldwide. In particular the focus in 2026 will be on helping communities in Nairobi. Please support this event by making/buying cakes and bring and buy items.
ANNUAL CHURCH MEETING 24th MAY 2926
There will be much to celebrate on 24th May which happens to be both Pentecost and Aldersgate Sunday as well as a baptism within that morning service, led by Deacon Ellie.
Straight after the service, please do stay on for the Annual Church Meeting, where we can also celebrate the life of the church over the last 12 months, as well as look forward to any future plans. Tea & coffee will be served in the actual church, from a trolley, so that we can commence the meeting quickly and all still get home as a reasonable time for lunch.
FUTURE STORY
Thank you to everyone for participating with the Future Story process so far. The results of our “Listening” phase are captured creatively by the display in the foyer. Following on from there we did some “Dreaming” and have pulled together some ideas that lead to the “Choosing” phase. These ideas fall under two distinct areas of Worship and Challenging Injustice.
To facilitate the “Choosing” phase we have put some boxes in the foyer to enable us to get an idea of what priorities we might have. Each person will have three tokens to place in the boxes as they seem fit. “Choosing” will take place between 3rd & 13th May so please make sure you take this opportunity to use your voice in West Kirby Methodist Church’s Future Story.
After the voting an Action Plan for the next 12 months will ne created and brought to the Annual Church Meeting which takes place on 24th May to which all are welcome to attend.
With thanks from the Future Story Group.
WHAT ARE WE PRAYING FOR AT THE MOMENT?
- Everyone’s voice to be heard through the voting process in the church foyer (Future Story “Choosing” phase).
- Strengthening connections with our community.
- Deacon Ellie as she draws closer to the end of her time in the Wirral Circuit and prepares to move on.
Please remember to put any prayer suggestions in the box in the foyer
