CHURCH FAMILY.
A reminder that the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Daphne Trivett takes place here at church on Monday 14th September at 11.15 a.m. All are warmly invited to attend and to share stories over refreshments in the Church Hall straight after the service.

CRAFTGROUP – SHOE BOXES
You help is needed. The following items are needed to fill the shoeboxes:
Soap, toothpaste, coloured pencils, felt tips, balls, small toys,
musical instruments (such as harmonicas), hair accessories,
nail varnish, and make up for teenage girls, small games
especially suitable for teenage boys
We aim to fill 200 boxes and any items should be brought to church by the 10th October.

BIBLE STUDY GROUP
Please note that there will be no meetings during September as both Sam & Kate have overlapping holidays and Sam has another meeting booked for 24th September.
The next Bible Study Group will meet at St. Luke’s on Thursday, 8th October starting at 10.30 a.m.
SAVE THE DATE
The Liverpool Harmonic Gospel Choir are due to return to our church to give a concert on Friday, 20th November. Following their highly successful visit in 2024 this year’s event is likely to be a similar, not to be missed occasion. Publicity and tickets will be available in October.
WHAT ARE WE PRAYING FOR AT THE MOMENT?
- The International Red Cross organisation as they have been so stretched this year with disaster upon disaster to respond to.
- Children and young people starting new school or university years or new jobs after finishing education.
CAFÉ WORSHIP
In the past we have been able to begin setting up for Café Worship on a Friday after our coffee morning, continuing on a Saturday morning. The church has now accepted a regular booking on a Saturday morning finishing at 12 noon. This means that preparation for Café Worship cannot take place until Saturday afternoon which is not always convenient for the current volunteers. If Café Worship is to continue in its current format additional volunteers are needed each month. Please add your name to the sheet in the foyer if you would like to join a rota to help in any way or speak to Ann Taylor for further information.
Items for inclusion in the notices should be sent to the Editor, Elaine Phillips,
Flat 3 Lyndhurst, 82 Meols Drive, West Kirby, CH48 5DD (Tel: 07733 057 315) or emailed to elaine5649.ep@gmail.com by 11.59 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the Sunday of publication. Any additional notices may be handed to the Steward on duty to be read out to the congregation
