NOTICES
CHURCH FAMILY
A reminder that the Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Eleanor Macarthur takes place at church on Monday 5th January at approximately 11.15 a.m. (as soon as Noel and the family return from Landican).
TECHY COFFEE
The next session run by volunteers from Age UK will be on Friday, 9th January 2026.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON FELLOWSHIP
There will be no meeting in January. The next meeting of TAF will be on Thursday, 12th February 2026 at 2.30 p.m.
BEREAVEMENT JOURNEY COURSE
This is a course that has already been hosted by St. Bridget’s. However, West Kirby Churches Together have now agreed to take this on as a joint initiative by sharing the preparation, hosting, facilitating etc. as a team. The next seven-week course will begin on Wednesday, 28th January 2026 and will be hosted each week by us at West Kirby Methodist Church.
The course will be helpful for someone who has been affected by bereavement recently or maybe a couple of years ago, but is still processing that loss.
Anyone wanting to enrol or find out more they should contact Sam. Additionally, it would be helpful to have a couple of volunteers each week between 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. willing to make teas and coffees and serve biscuits or cake and then wash up after the break. Please let Sam know if you would like to support in this way.
Please see posters on notice boards for further details.
CRAFT GROUP
Please save all your Christmas cards, unused wrapping paper etc. for us to start again when we resume our meetings on Wednesday, 7th January.

COMMUNITY LUNCH
The next lunch is on Wednesday 7th January at 12.30 p.m. If you haven’t already booked, as numbers are limited please contact Sam Hepworth to check whether there are places still available.
OUR GIFT SERVICE
Following our gift service for young people held at the end of November we have now received an email of thanks from Mark Newman, Operations Manager of the Response team as follows:
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your recent donations of food, clothes and essential supplies. Your generosity and kindness have profoundly touched us and will make a significant difference to the young people we support, especially during the Christmas period.
As a youth organisation dedicated to helping vulnerable young people navigating challenging circumstances. We rely on the good will of our community to provide the support and care they need. Your helpful contribution will, not only meet practical needs, but also serves as a reminder to these young people that they are valued and not alone in their struggle
Items for inclusion in the notices should be sent to the Editor, Elaine Phillips,
Flat 3 Lyndhurst, 82 Meols Drive, West Kirby, CH48 5DD (Tel: 07733 057 315) or emailed to elaine5649.ep@gmail.com by 11.59 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the Sunday of publication. Any additional notices may be handed to the Steward on duty to be read out to the congregation.
