NOTICES

WEST KIRBY’S FAREWELL TO ELLIE

Deacon Ellie will be leading her final service at West Kirby on Sunday, 5th July and we would like to wish her well as a church family, as she prepares to move on.  At that service we will have cakes and some non-alcoholic fizz, to toast her with.

CIRCUIT FAREWELL SERVICE FOR ELLIE

There will be a Circuit Service to say farewell to Ellie at 6 p.m. on Sunday, 12th July at Greasby Methodist Church.    Ellie will be leading but she does not want the event to be about her, but about God and celebrating what God is doing in the life of the Circuit.  All welcome.

PLAN OF SERVICES AT WEST KIRBY Copies of the Plan of Services at West Kirby covering the three months commencing 7th June are now available.  Pick up your copy from the table in the foyer.

BIBLE STUDY GROUP

The next meeting is at Hoylake on Thursday, 9th July.  All are welcome.

RECYCLING FOR GOODS CAUSES

WHAT ARE WE PRAYING FOR AT THE MOMENT?

  • Let us pray for the people of Venezuela following the two earthquakes which struck on 24th So far at least 2,295 people have been killed, and more than 3,150 people have been injured.  There are also more than 43,000 still unaccounted for.  We pray for those trying to care for the injured and those tasked with rebuilding the infrastructures.

Please remember to put any prayer suggestions in the box in the foyer

STORAGE SOLUTIONS UPDATE

Please note that work starts on Monday, 6th July when the joiner will be building new storage for the Craft Group.  Initially this will be a 2.4-metre-long storage cupboard in the Hilda Shore Room.  Once this is complete the craft items stored in the adjoining corridor will be moved into the Hilda Sore Room and the Art Group will move their equipment into the cleared corridor space.

The next phase will be to build a further 2.4-metre-long cupboard in Room 1 where the remaining craft resources will be stored, clearing the final shelves in the secure room.  We are hoping this will relieve most, if not all, of the storage pressure in the worship space, as well as improve accessibility to resources for all concerned.

Items for inclusion in the notices should be sent to the Editor, Elaine Phillips,

Flat 3 Lyndhurst, 82 Meols Drive, West Kirby, CH48 5DD (Tel: 07733 057 315) or emailed to elaine5649.ep@gmail.com by 11.59 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the Sunday of publication.  Any additional notices may be handed to the Steward on duty to be read out to the congregation.
